Women to Watch

Women to Watch is a signature exhibition program of the National Museum of Women in the Arts that spotlights emerging and underrecognized women artists from around the world. Each cycle, NMWA’s national and international committees, including SFA NMWA, partner with curators to nominate artists whose work reflects the theme chosen by the museum. Selected artists are featured in regional exhibitions and one is chosen to represent each committee in the national exhibition at NMWA in Washington, D.C. Through Women to Watch, SFA NMWA has had the privilege of presenting and supporting outstanding Bay Area artists, highlighting their creativity, vision, and impact within the larger dialogue of contemporary art.
